Dover, DE – The Dominion Brewing Company has announced the addition of Black Cherry and Creamy Orange soda to their soft drink portfolio.

Handcrafted with pure cane sugar from the Domino’s factory in Baltimore, and intentionally omitting caffeine and high fructose corn syrup, these sodas continue to uphold Dominion’s standards for quality libations. Black Cherry pays homage to the classic soda fountain beverage, while Creamy Orange undertakes a modern reinterpretation of orange soda by smoothing the traditionally acerbic citrus and invoking the flavor profile of a carbonated creamsicle.

Jim Lutz, President and CEO of Fordham and Dominion Brewing, stated, “As craft beer artists, one of the first things we acknowledge is the fact that there is no one drink that everyone will love: people are different and they have different taste preferences. And yet, until recently, we had not applied this principle to our soft drinks. We are pleased to represent more individuals with our handcrafted Black Cherry and Creamy Orange sodas.”

Black Cherry and Creamy Orange soda are available by the case at the brewery. They join Dominion’s other two sodas, Root Beer and Ginger Ale. A variety twelve-pack containing all four sodas will be released in time for the holidays.

The Return of Dominion Octoberfest

Dover, DE – The Dominion Brewing Company will be releasing Octoberfest at the beginning of August this year to meet consumer demand.

One of the Dominion’s seasonal offerings, Octoberfest is modeled after a traditional German Maerzen.  This amber colored lager contains three hop varieties, Tradition, Saaz, and Hallertau,  and eight malts, including Vienna, Munich, Caramunich, Wheat, Dark Crystal, Carafoam and Chocolate. It is 6.0% ABV and 20 IBUs.

Casey Hollingsworth, Dominion Vice President of Sales and Marketing, stated, “Dominion Octoberfest is that beer that people seem to look forward to every year.  It’s truly a tradition at the brewery and craft beer drinkers have really come to respect our interpretation of the style.  It’s also a transitional time for beer as people begin moving from lighter style wheat beers and Pilsners to more full-bodied and flavorful offerings.”

Dominion Octoberfest is a GABF Gold Medal Winner and took the Gold Medal at last year’s Cap City Oktoberfest event in Shirlington, VA.   It will be available in six-packs and on draft.

Bomber Release Dominion Brewing Set To Release Double IPA

Dominion Brewing Set To Release Double IPA

Dover, DE – The Dominion Brewing Company is set to roll out “Double D,” a double IPA, at the beginning of July.

Double D, the second of Dominion’s pin-up inspired “Bomber Girls,” is a full-bodied Imperial India Pale Ale that flaunts sultry guava, mango and tropical fruit aromas, as a result of dry hopping with Citra and Simcoe hops. Brewed with light toasted malts and Bravo bittering hops, this double delights with smooth warming alcohols and a torrid finish. A daring draft, she is available for a limited duration, deploying at 10.2% ABV and 90 IBUs. Double D will be available in 22oz bottles and on draft.

Master Brewer Walter Trifari stated, “Because this beer is bottle conditioned at 10.2% ABV, it will cellar well. Drink one now and save one for later.”

Know Your Market Manager – Brittney Thomas

BrittWeb Know Your Market Manager Brittney Thomas

If you are enjoying a Fordham or Dominion beer in Delaware, chances are, that is due to Brittney Thomas. One of the newest members of the brewery sales team, Britt was hired back in December to represent the Delaware and Eastern Maryland regions. Within three months of joining the staff, she has impressed us all with her go-get ‘em attitude and salesmanship.

When Brittney is not kicking firkins around the brewery or hosting a tap takeover at one of the craft-centric restaurants, she can be found soaking up the sun while enjoying a pint of Big Thaw.

R2Hop2 Know Your Dry Hopper R2Hop2
People often wonder what the life of a Dry Hopping machine is like. It is actually quite sordid. Hooking up with various fermentation tanks and mugging for pictures with visitors leaves R2Hop2 little time to relax and enjoy the dream. But he always says, “beep boop beep” (literally translated to “But it could be worse. I could be working in human-cyborg relations”). R2Hop2′s chipper and upbeat attitude always leaves people smiling. His hip-hopiness is why he was the obvious choice as the spokesperson for the Brewery’s musicfest. That, and Cher was busy.

Favorite Quote: “Balling on beats got hops like breweries. Sideline haters need to chill where the cooler is.”

Darth Vader or Darth Maul: Darth Vader

Favorite Animal: Tauntan

Second Best Thing You Can Imagine: Dry Hopping a Double IPA, no strings attached.

Take a visit to the brewery any weekday morning before the sun rises (which we don’t recommend at all) and you will find A.C., our Production Planner and Material Procurement Expert. Like any respectable brewery, Fordham and Dominion Brewing does have a resident professional golfer, and that person is A.C. A former golf professional and current member of the PGA, he can often be found on the four-hole golf course surrounding the brewery.

When A.C. is not busy making the brewery run, he enjoys playing golf, taking his RV out for a spin, and smoking cigars.
